Why I Went to Ashram? By Lim May Ling
When I first came to CIS and attended the Soul Realisation class in Feb 2010, I saw this unique structure of the Golden Pyramid on the laptop wallpaper. Then during the break, I chanced upon the photo album of the centre’s first trip to Ashram. I was fascinated with the beautiful scenery and modern architecture of GMCKS Ashram. I thought one has to practice for many years before one can visit an ashram. I told myself that I would visit this spiritual place as I wanted to see its beauty through the eyes of my spiritual teacher.
With the blessings of GMCKS, I made my maiden trip in Aug 2010 for his birthday celebration (barely a month after completing Prep2). I remembered feeling ecstatic mixed with emotions that I have “come back to home”. Going to Ashram is like stepping back in time; away from the materialistic world. I can be my true self here in the presence of my Teacher, learning and evolving with his guidance. Honestly, I enjoyed feeling like a Student in a boarding school which allowed me to devote 100% of my time learning and practicing without the daily hustle & bustle life challenges. The day is always filled with activities like physical exercise, yoga, meditation, meal time, bonding time with new friends, book study, etc. I wished time could standstill for more activities!
Everywhere in Ashram, I felt safe, guided and protected. One gets to feel the presence of the Teacher and Higher Beings everywhere regardless of the time. Though the trip was barely a week, the memories and experience brought home remained the happiest in my life. I knew that I had already been transformed. I was already looking forward to the next trip (before leaving, I was advised to do Kriyashakti for it!)
Then in Dec 2010, I was blessed by the Teacher to attend the Arhatic Intensive Program for two weeks. Imagine the ecstasy of going home again. This time round, I gained deeper insights to the teachings, experienced many beautiful meditations, received sharing from many Atmas and more importantly received new energies. Amazingly, I also experienced the greatness of manifestation.
For example:
One night while meditating on Lord’s Prayer, I said to me “Wouldn’t it be great to receive a copy of the Lord’s Prayer book to read more”. Immediately after the meditation, Atma Amol came up to me and passed me the book. I was very surprised and asked him how he knew that I wanted this book. He replied “During meditation, GMCKS told him to pass this book to me”. Wow!!! What greatness.
I was told that by going to Ashram itself; cleansing and removing past life karmas have already begun. Not to mention receiving tremendous blessings and abundance from the Teacher to help us manifest our wishes and personal goals!
Since my return to Singapore, I had received many blessings. One of them is my wish to find the right job with the right salary which had materialized! With Thanks and Gratitude to My Beloved Teacher.
